It disseminates scientific research results in plain language to policy makers, health professionals and the public to inform health policies, programs, and actions. The PHB fosters the development of national public health capacity by creating opportunities for health professionals in the early stages of their careers to interact with public health specialists, increasing their skills to write and publish PHB articles that influence the adoption of key public health policies.

The NIH organized two-day International Training Workshop on the “Preparedness and Response for Mass Gathering and other Health Threats”; 30-31 January 2023. It was organized in collaboration with European Union Centers of Excellence Initiative and International Science and Technology Center. Purpose of the workshop was to enhance the public health preparedness of different sectors and their roles in public health emergency management.

The Committee met under the Chairmanship of Dr. Muhammad Afzal Khan Dhandla, MNA. The Committee appreciated the performance of the NIH, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and recent floods. The Committee also paid its gratitude to the management and staff members for making it a world-class health facility.
